Chef Michelangelo | Authentic Italian Chef

About me...

My story is simple and authentic, like the land I come from, the Emilia Romagna region, situated in the heart of northern Italy.

Chef Michelangelo

I was born in Bologna, a town that is effervescent, easygoing, culturally and industrially avant-garde.

It is a city that has the oldest extant University of the Western World.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Ducati are all manufactured here, and, above all, the production of classical foodstuff and rich traditional cuisine are very prominent in this region.

Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar, Lasagna al Forno and Bolognese Sauce all have their origins here, among many other Italian classics.

My parents are from two diverse places in Italy: my father Michele from Naples, my mother Angela from Bologna, both cities noted for their superb cuisines.

My style of cooking is the expression of their different heritages, resulting in delicious simple meals, with many of the recipes handed down from my grandmothers.

I have lived and worked in Florence, Milan, Treviso, Rome, Parma and traveled throughout Italy, savoring and discovering the many different regional cuisines.

Now I want to share the wealth of knowledge and experience I have accumulated, and savored with my family and friends, with everyone who has the desire and the passion to eat well.
